One of the rare species that you will be able to find in Phuket bird park is the grey African Crowned Crane. This bird is about 3.3 ft tall and has a wingspan of 6.5 ft. While their wings are mostly white, the rest of the body comes in a range of vibrant colors with a black patch on the top and a crown of stiff golden feathers on the head. African Crowned Crane is the only crane that can roost in trees and have long legs for walking on the grasses.

Timings: The Phuket Bird Park remains open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day. Do note that the last entry is at 3:00 PM. The Phuket Bird Park Show is held thrice a day at - 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM and the last show is scheduled at 3:30 PM.
Best Time To Visit: You can schedule to visit the park at its early opening hours as the weather is pleasant. Visiting in the early hours will give you more time as 2-3 hours required to visit the place, watch the shows and interact with the birds. Try to visit at a time which coincides with the timing of the bird show held at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
The Phuket Bird Park is situated in the Chalong area, close to Wat Chalong temple and at a distance of 8.5 km from the city center of Phuket.
Visitors can use following mode of transportations to reach Phuket Bird Park:
- Taxi: You can take a taxi to reach the place. It takes about 17 minutes to cover the distance via Route 4201.
- Tuk-Tuk: The local tuk-tuks are also available and will be able to take you to the Bird Park.
- Children up to the age of two years can enter free of charge, children aged between 3 to 12 years can avail of a child Phuket bird park entrance fee and children above the age of 12 years will need to opt for the full Phuket bird park price.
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled bird show time that you have opted for.
- Show schedules may change based on the weather conditions of the day, hence, check before arriving at the place.
